Celebrating California's Designation of Hangul Day (10.9)
2019 Korean Language and Culture Video Contest

The Korean Cultural Center, Los Angeles (KCCLA) is pleased to host an event to celebrate the Hangul Day, which is scheduled on October 9, 2019. The event is to commemorate King Sejong the Great's promulgation of the Korean alphabets and writing system in 1446 to afford all Koreans access to literacy. We are proud that the State of California has designated October 9 as the Hangul Day. We hope this event will help to promote awareness of Korean culture among the greater public.
